How My Friends Misled Me And Almost Snatched My Husband – Reader Writes

image

Its funny how this story is very
interesting because its something
unusual, Yes it shouldn’t be about us
advising you all the time, it’s cool if
you also share your mistakes with us
sometimes, so we can also learn.
Read story below;
I have one or two things to say about
married women who keep friends. I
have been married for three years. I
am the kind of lady that keeps a lot
of friends and usually love them
around me because my husband is
not always around.
My husband often frowned at it
when he calls and knows they are
around. But I always enjoy their
company so I usually ignore him.
I was naïve at first and told my
friends what my hubby thought of
them and they often treated him
with disdain. I didn’t like it, but I let
it go.
It didn’t take long before I was
gradually introduced into clubbing,
hanging out with young guys and
completely forgot I was married.
Two of these ladies were also
married. I was made to perceive
marriage as a bondage and a
manipulative tool men often
employed in controlling women.
This new lifestyle turned me into a
completely different person and I
started having extra-marital affairs.
I got addicted to having s*x with any
other guy out there.
Man husband got to know I have
started staying out late nights and
tried talking and fixing things so
many times but all to no avail as I
was already enjoying this new life. (I
never had one because I was raised
from a very strict home)
He called on my family and friends;
after loads of scolding and bashing, I
realized I was stupid and had
wronged him all these while (though
it took a long time for me to agree.
My unmarried elder sister helped me
better).
After the whole dust had settled, my
husband revealed that my so-called
friends had been making series of
advances to him, with proof of my
infidelity and all that. One of them
in particular was ready to travel to
Abuja to be with me. He showed me
her text messages, emails (he
particularly asked her to also
communicate through mails because
he knows he has the intention of
using it as evidence later on).
This was a real eye-opener to what
was never taught in the class room,
rather life taught me humans are not
what they seemed. I have little or no
complains because I lived carelessly
and threw my home into disarray
(unknowingly).
A piece of advice to newly-weds.
Foundation of the marriage really
matters, when you are married. Act
like you are married and learn from
my mistakes. Keeping unmarried
friends and wayward married ladies
was the mistake I made.

I Had Jets Before Becoming Governor – Okorocha

image

Imo State Governor, Rochas
Okorocha, on Thursday said he
bought his private jets before he
became governor in 2011, contrary
to publications in the media that he
has bought two private jets since he
was elected into office.
Okorocha, who was reacting to
statement by workers in the state
that he should sell his private jets
and use the proceeds to pay their
salary arrears, described the
allegation as a total falsehood
fabricated by those who are bent on
discrediting his achievements.
In a statement signed by the
governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr.
Sam Onwuemeodo, the state
government said, “as a government,
we want to deny with high sense of
honesty that since May 29, 2011
when Owelle Rochas Okorocha
became governor, he has never
bought any private Jet either directly
or by proxy. Having made this denial
let those behind the allegation make
their facts public to fault our denial.
“The period Governor Rochas
Okorocha bought Jets was years
before he was elected, during the
Olusegun Obasanjo regime when
some of the presidential jets were
auctioned. The governor bought jets
then under the aegis of Lamonde
Aviation, alongside few other
Nigerians. Since he became
governor, he has never bought any
private Jet.”
The statement added: “Again, the
Debit Management Agency
penultimate week published the
states and their respective debt
profiles. And in the case of Imo
State, they published N37 billion
which was far from the hundreds of
billions the opponents of the
government have been claiming to
be the debt status of the state. And
the N37 billion debt include the ones
owed by the previous
administrations. The good story is
that we have been vindicated on
that.”

imprisonment for offenders.

8 Category Of Cars Old Men Drive In Nigeria

image

peaking of automobile industry, the
past recorded cars manufactured at
different countries holding some
interesting memories about the
shape, design and nick name tag to
these cars.
In Nigeria today, some of these cars
are still seen on the road even
though it’s almost extinct but most
time such cars are being driven by
old men.
Such cars are as follows;
1. Beetle
This is a German car manufactured
few years after WW2. It’s one of the
all time most rugged car designed by
volkswagen company as it is nick
named “Ijapa” in yoruba dialect.
Such cars nowadays are driven by
old men within the age range of 55
to death do us apart.
2. Peugeot 504
This car reigned in Nigeria for
decades due to its strong body metal
and compatibility to our bad roads.
It is only old men you see driving
this car nowadays with huge
“agbada” attire.
3. Pick-up
This is a haulage vehicle
manufactured by peugeot company
in the 50-70’s. Despite the fact that it
is almost off the road, you will still
see old men driving it for business
purpose.
4. Benz 80-98 model
In the olden days, anybody that is
using Mercedes benz is automatically
tag a big man even up till now. It is
only old men most especially “baale
or babalawo” you still see driving the
model 80-98 series. Atimes you see
the car plate number customised
with their local name.
5. Nissan 120Y
This brand of car reigned between
the 80’s to late 90’s in cities like
Abeokuta, Ibadan, etc for
commercial use (taxi). It comes with
different model but the one common
is “salake” as seen used by old men
recently.
6. Molue
Those in lagos can bear me witness
that this brand of bus is still driven
by old men in routes like oshodi,
iyana paja, abule-egba, etc. The
engine smoke, insult from conductor
and passengers make this vehicle a
dramatic experience when you board
it.
7. Tipa
This is a haulage mini truck designed
by Bedford to carry loads most
especially sands and rock peddles.
This is still seen nowadays on roads
driven by old men.
8. Citron

for travel purpose in the olden days.
Commuter users like Izuchukwu, Jide
ofor, fear woman motors, etc used it
for long distance journey to convey
passengers. You can hardly see this
vehicle on road nowadays and if you
do, only old men drive it.
